I enjoyed the film. The story, acting, dialouge was all key for the success of this film. I didn't enjoy the cinematography too much, nor the lighting which seemed all natural to me. I wish it was much cleaner, because it would have been a home run for me.

I think what the OP was seeing was the difference in DOF. With a 35mm Camera, even though it's digital, is shooting through 35mm lenses. This will give a sharp image with soft foreground/background. Besides that, Will nailed it. Lighting, cinematography, SOUND, framing, etc.

Yes, a very good one at that. $7,000 is the going rate for a Used EX3, in good condition. If it was handled by pros, then it seems like a great deal, just make sure its in good shape.

I have mixed emotions. I think the Cinematography, the acting, the lighting, the sound, is all very well done. The trailer and title sequences are also very well done. I just didn't get anything out of that trailer besides it's a murder/mystery drama. It didn't bring anything new to the table...

We already have 2+ years ago. RED One Shoots 2K & 4K res (4520 X 2540 pixels) And RED's new Epic will shoot 5K-8K and is said to shoot up to 28K res (28X the res of 1080p)

I know a lot of people who add grain to 1080 and 2k/4k images to give it a more filmy look. Yes, it can be too high, and You'll probably see a hault in image res in the future. High Res can make the picture look un-organic and fake.
