As others have said, look at breaking your ideas into several movies. Alternativly, you might want to consider that a film is the wrong medium for your ideas. Perhaps your idea is better suited for a mini-series, tv show, novel, comic, etc. It might be better told in a longer format.

You are kinda right in that it is compressed in the wrong frame rate. I will assume you are making a dvd for region 1. Region 1 DVDs are typically 29.97 ntsc. It would be my guess that the video is speeding up because it is trying to play back the file at 29.97 but it is encoded at 23.9. That...
