    Help Pitching to Networks

Pretty much. I'd consider the daughter thing to be a fantastic potential luxury at best. Should you get into a position to actually sell this thing, I'm not I would even dare to put that on the table, but that's just me. I might be a coward, for all I know. Good luck, at any rate.

    Help with my first screenplay!

I think the above is exactly on the ball. That sounds like a perfect way to go about it, and I like the black and white element, too.

archived-videos Respect your crew. They're family.

That's the kind of thing I'd want to do, too, and this one was great.

    Scripts for Reference

Definitely feel free to show us something later on. I dig those kinds of stories.

Where would films and filmmakers be without their fans?

It depends on the person. Some of those people do make costumes for other people, and they're just as dedicated to their own cosplaying as this girl supposedly is.

Fair warning: The children's table has a four-drink minimum. Welcome back.

Then I guess I'm done with Ridley Scott movies.

    I miss that zoom.

    New to writing

That's pretty good advice. I've occasionally written out the different ideas kicking around in my head for a specific story (images, moments and the like) in bullet form. That can help me get a sense of what I already have, and where I need to fill in the blanks. More often than not though I...

top-list Top 10 Documentaries on Making Movies

Good list. There's still a few titles on it that I need to see.

    Building blocks of a script?

That's pretty cool. I don't believe I've ever seen that before.

Quick ? about montages & series of shots?

They tend to bug me a little in films I'm watching, so I try to avoid them in my own scripts. Sometimes though it's just too damn tempting.

editing Not How You Imagine It

It's enough of a roll of the dice for me just writing out my ideas. I can't even imagine going for broke with doing everything that goes into putting a scene or even an entire film together, only to slowly realize that it's still missing something.

    Google +

I can't imagine needing yet another social network, but I wouldn't mind an invite for no other reason than to just check it out. I suppose one of the things about being in the writing, acting, stand-up etc lines of work is at least being aware of the ways to reach a desired audience.

Help with Title! Indiana Jones Parody

Carolina Hank. I don't know why I find that name to be funny. I just do.

This is the part I hate

I can only imagine. It's easily the worst part of anything I write. The process can be a blast. It's just that part where I have to hope all the time was worth it that kills me. I'm sure it'll be fine though. It's just a question of dying a thousand times before you finally hear back from them...

    These 10 movies changed everything

I could certainly debate some of the selections on this list until the end of time, but all the same it's a good list with good movies. I've seen seven out of ten, by the way. I do really need to watch "Memento" one of these damn days, along with finishing "Brother" and "House of Games."

    RIP Columbo :(

I love "Columbo" to death (had it running all day while I wrote yesterday and probably will some more today), but to me Peter Falk was so much more than that as an actor. He was a wildly diverse, enormously talented character actor who could swing just about any character you threw at him. He...

    Summary vs. detail

I tend to stick to a free form fashion for the first draft, and then use that as my road map for what I hope will be a much tighter, more concise and interesting second/third/etc draft. That's just the system I've worked out for myself. I think Murdock has the right idea for you though.
