    Worth marketing this?

Just some quality? That certainly stopped me from clicking on your link. You didn't state what you hoped to gain by marketing this short, but whatever you do, don't spend any money on it. There's no financial upside to shorts. Good luck.

I'm not trying to get you in a "gotcha" question, but what made you think shooting with a Red was the right thing to do?

Do you have the latest version? Not only it supposedly exceeds the FCP7 standards, it run circles around the others. The price is nice, too. Good luck.

Really struggling with what to do with my short film?

Your film has to stand it's own. No one cares about the budget, time limitations and other excuses. It has to impress people regardless of shortcomings. If it can't, then that's your cue to move on to your next project. IMO you really need to drop the 1-take mentality. Very few people here and...

Really struggling with what to do with my short film?

Don't spend money to promote a short. There's no upside. A one-take trailer? Yikes! One of the stills seems to be taken with a camera having dirty lenses. This ain't stuff that launches careers, sorry. Good luck.

Advice needed - What equipment should I keep?

Kids? Handycam. You want to be able to grab it and shoot. Kids grow up too fast to complicate it with gear.

From the article: But even after decades — there are about 50,000 Full Sail graduates out there — the university still lacks a marquee name. Most graduates have quieter careers.

film-school Film school or start filming feature?

From the NYT article: One very important aspect of film school has not changed: There is still no guarantee of a career. In fact, it is harder than ever to find a traditional Hollywood job, experts say. Studios, battling declining DVD sales and a topsy-turvy box office, are not buying as many...

film-school Film school or start filming feature?

Agreed. But nearly everyone aspiring to get into the film business want to direct. If we all wanted to grip, film schools would be dead. And they know that. Not so. As many here have noted over the years, you can get into the business, even directing, without film school. There's no evidence...

Sky, how about a link to those stats. They better be full-time jobs in the film business that produces an income to pay back their school debts. Jax, virtually no graduate of film schools make a full time living directing films. Some do get into the business and make a career of it, but it is a...

    Indie Trailer

You should go with your gut feeling more often. Don't let "professionals" steer you astray. The purpose of a trailer is to get people to (open their pocketbook and) watch your film -- not sum up the story. Wow them for an entire minute and you've done your job! Good luck.
