top-list Top 10 Films You wish (Or Did) Walk Out On...

I've never walked out on a movie. I had to leave Rambo III early because my friends mom had a heart attack but that was more divine intervention. I tend to watch bad films. You can learn just as much watching a bad film as watching a good one.

Thanks for the tip clive. I've been wanting to work with something from Franz Kafka and as unsure of the timeline. Thanks!

    Adapting a story

Can someone give me the skinny on adapting an exisiting short story over 75 years old? Does this fall into public domain works and available for adapting into a short film or is there more to it than that? Thanks for the feedback.

    watch Invitation - Short Film

I am pretty impressed what you were able to do with the Panasonic PV-GS65. I have the 120 (previous years model) plus a Canon XL1-s and on occasion have gotten better pictures with the 120. ( The XL1-s is just too much camera for me I guess). Great job with the overall look of the film.

    ITOOFC #4 Winners!

Congrats to all the winners. Some top notch filmmaking! Can't wait until ITOOFC #5! All awards are duly deserved and I think ALL the filmmakers deserve a hand for completing a film within the demanding timeline!

watch Lullaby by Bophe - Best Actress

First off good job. The actress was great. The music/sound best I've seen in my viewings. Buy your editor a beer or whatever beverage they enjoy, s/he deserves it. Spatula alluded to the impending dread in the film and that comes from the editing in my opinion/ In fact the editing sets up...

watch Bloody Hell - Best Score

Good film. Packaged a lot of plot into five minutes and with coherence. It fit together extremely well. The use of non-linearity was well handled. Some good camera movement. Really impressed with the last shot as Music was also good. Definately contributed to if not enhanced the feeling...

    Compression in Premiere Pro

I am playing around with compressing video/audio in Premiere Pro for web viewing i.e. in line with ITOOFC #4. I am unsure which CODECs to use. I have experimented with a few combinations but nothing that seems par with the quality I see in the Screening Room forum. I am reading up on it but...

Anatomy of a Last Minute Submission

Anatomy of a Last Minute Submission II First day of filming. Morning - Last minute run for props. No luck on a rotary dial phone. I figure since I live in Utah they are still in use. The only way I would be able to get a rotary dial phone is to pry one from a dead Utahans hands. Buying a...

Anatomy of a Last Minute Submission

Let's have some reality-blog fun. It is one week until the deadline and a few days ago I decided I would try to put together a submission despite the late start. I will update this thread through out the week with my progress or lack thereof (see closing note in reference to Lauren Graham)...

I am not necessarily new but I haven't been around in awhile. I was in Korea until a few months ago and have missed stopping by Indie Talk. I am in Utah and looking forward to being back in the mix at Indie Talk. So, what's been going on? dee
