ok just realised that if adjust my canvas (in FCP) to 100% then the same issues are prevalent here also.... ...a slight choppy look... not that clean, crisp look you'd expect from HD...? I thought I was capturing on the right settings here? Has anyone ever experienced this before??

Ok so i'm sure most of you are probably have read many a thread regarding capturing footage, and it seems the general advice is to play around with the different settings until you've got it right... This is where I am confused... Most of my footage was shot on a camcorder (Sony - HDV HC9)...

Thanks guys.... I've given the heads a clean and subsequently been able to capture the clip... admittedly it's no longer quite the same quality as what it should be, but serves the purpose and is a hell of a lot better than losing it entirely!!! :) cheers. PS. I'm sure working with a deck...

Ok, So after filming an amazing clip, I was so transfixed that I watched it on the camera (rewinding tape, press play etc) a whole bunch of times, as well as showing friends until it got the better of me... That particular part of the tape is now dropping frames as I attempt to capture...
