That was what I thought, too, just deleting them they are still recoverable by some 15 year-old in his mom's basement in Russia. It sounds like the best approach is to do the rough editing off an external hard drive and format it when done.

Curious on a lower budget project how directors reassure talent firearms are not loaded/unsafe, etc. If, for example, for a pistol to head scene the director puts the gun to their own head first, etc. Pulls trigger into air, etc. Basically how to reassure cast/crew hyperrealistic firearms are safe.

Brunerww and others, thank you for the recommendations. Got my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cmaera - lenses haven't arrived yet, so haven't been able to do much. I was wondering what you do about sound? Are you using a separate sound recorder or plugging mic into cam?

Wow! What a great picture. I take it you are hand-focusing those lenses? Or does the autofocus still work with lenses on? Also, that did not look like real bacon. :)

Got one of these Blackmagic pocket cinema cameras coming from Amazon. Wanted to go into my local camera store to get a lens or two for it. Any recommendations for inexpensive ($200-300) general purpose lenses I should get? I did not get the pistol grip, I almost always take my tripod with.

Not to be a pain, but is there some basic peripherals you would recommend for the Blackmagic pocket cam? I don't want to slow things down and hopefully fit it all in a small bag.
