    might be a dumb question

Just curious, what does it take to 'tour' a film? Seems like the idea would be to travel across the country, renting screens in various large cities where a target audience is sure to be found, while possibly hosting meet&greets in the theater with the director and actors and such, all the while...

Just a few beginner questions about lenses.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could clear a few things up for me. I'm a beginner and since I don't have the funds for school, I'm trying to do as much reading and learning as possible online. The thing that's confusing me though, is how lenses work with a supposedly very can-be-manual camera...

    20P? :P

One main thing I'm concerned about is the lack of settings....the T2i seems to have ISO, Shutter Speed, ect ect but is the T1i truly just a very automatic camera that has nothing manually adjustable beyond auto? I just couldn't imagine a camera like that. At the same time though, it would be...

    20P? :P

That's what the Rebel T1i does for it's HD video. I've never really heard of 20 frames per second, but to be honest, I've been watching T1i videos on youtube and it doesn't seem to effect at thing. When you can find the T1i for $300 on ebay, in comparison to the only other progressive camcorders...

How do you ask someone to be in your movie?

Lmao it's so funny how many people seem to be having this same experience. For me, I almost tend to write stories with my friend's faces in them. So when the time comes around to shoot a short film or so, my heart gets pretty broken when a certain person doesn't want to participate (especially...

    Panasonic HDC-TM700K vs. Canon S200

Hey guys, I'm directing and writing an indie horror-romance film that I plan on showing in many film festivals (meaning digitally shown on digital projectors), securing a decent DVD release (focusing on DVD rental stores rather than sales), and possible a theater distribution in select areas or...

    all-purpose, fairly easy camera?

I think Canon is probably the brand I'm going to go with, prolly the vixia series....so many Canon recommendations! Things I think I need: -Mic jack. -Built in light. -Shutter speed adjustment -Cinema Mode (maybe) -Great focus, depth, and ability to capture everything in a scene. -Naturally...

    all-purpose, fairly easy camera?

Hey all, new here, and I'm fixing to direct my first full length film this spring. To be honest, I've never filmed anything before, but I've spent my whole life really being that person who thinks out each scene and angle very profoundly, just because I've always been a writer, but writing...
