I’m hoping someone has had to tackle this one before. I’m about to hit production of my 3rd feature film and it looks like the film is going have its title changed. Essentially the director has never been too fond of the title, and we now have a title that all parties are happy with.
The issue...
I’m teaching myself how to edit using online tutorials. Editing is one aspect of production that I have never had to handle myself, so it’s a good learning experience. I’m actually really enjoying it. I should’ve done this years ago.
I’d like to second this. If an actor wants to change a line so that it creates a more natural delivery, I encourage it, but you need to take notice of HOW it is being changed. On the last feature I did we had an actor who would constantly change his lines. The problem we had was not that he was...
When I was growing up I had a love of movies, but making movies was something that was just seen as a pipe dream. To have access to a camera you needed to be wealthier than my family was. It could never happen.

We have a location for one scene that the director has their heart...
Since I'm new here I thought I'd share the trailer for my previous indie feature, Blood Hunt, so y'all can see what I'm all about. I was one of the producers, and the project started by the director and myself sitting down to write a 12 page treatment. From there we made our first feature film...
I've been playing with Lightworks. It runs fine on my 2010 iMac and it hasn't felt too restrictive running the free version so if you don't have the budget to upgrade to a newer computer and pay for something like Final Cut or Adobe Premiere, maybe give that a try.
I'm an indie filmmaker from Australia based in Melbourne with a couple of indie features under my belt as a producer, one of which is still in the very late stages of post production. I'm hoping here I can share my experiences and learn from others. I'm particularly interested in broadening my...
