campaign Crowdfunding a feature-length, queer spooky horror film

Hi, fellow film friends! I'm producing a feature-length independent film and we're looking to reach some stretch goals on our Kickstarter to aid in securing some named talent and enhanced production specs. We're offering backers virtual set visits, private screenings, a wrap party, and more. Feel free to peek and also let me know if you have a crowdfunding project we can help back, too:

The scoop on Hauntology:

Hauntology is a feature-length horror anthology, with a story that follows 11-year-old Venus (they/them) and their older sister Jazmin (she/her). The film opens as Venus runs away from home, because their narrow-minded parents have gotten on Venus' last nerve. Jazmin sees Venus wheeling a suitcase down the sidewalk and stops to make Venus a deal. If Venus will listen to all of Jazmin's ghost stories, and still wants to run away after, Jazmin won't stop them. However, if Venus gets scared, they have to go back home.

A horror road trip begins, as Jazmin takes Venus to four very haunted places. Each spot they visit has its own ghost story and unique queer perspective. What Venus doesn't know is Jazmin has an agenda of her own for the night. The two will ultimately find themselves face-to-face with the most notorious ghost in town.

That looks very cool, and I love that you're working on stretch funding
And that's why a chipped in a few bucks.

I noticed that you're hoping to use a processor trailer - we had one on my second feature. It was terrific and we got great footage, but:
(1) it's definitely a special skill so you may need to hire a few people just for that and (2) there aren't a lot of them outside of California (we were shooting in NJ) so make sure you allow LOTS of time to book that, if you go that way.

You are SO kind! Thank you for helping out! Truly appreciated.

Also GREAT insight on the process trailer. We're shooting in Ohio so that's definitely worth noting. It may actually be one of the things we end up looking at budget-wise. I know lighting a green screen can be challenging, though, so we'll have to see. Thank you for the great insight!

Loving this forum so far. You've been so welcoming and helpful. :)
